CVGC APRIL Newsletter
Dear members, It is Easter weekend already and soon the gardens will burst with life and spring flowers! Let’s keep preparing for it, while the cool temperatures keep us bundled into our homes. It was wonderful to see you in such numbers on Saturday March 23rd, as we explored different types of garden designs and considered how to best start our dahlias tubers for a most successful season. To dig deeper into the theme of garden design, Kevin Bickes, a local landscape designer, has graciously accepted our invitation to share some of his expertise with our Club members. Please join us to enjoy Kevin’s presentation and meet with fellow enthusiastic gardeners, on Friday April 5th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The presentation will be held at Gigzz, 31A Bridge, Ormstown. While Gigzz offers refreshments on site, coffee and tea will be provided by the club. In addition to this exciting opportunity to further improve our landscape design knowledge with Kevin, we will be welcoming Paul Zammit sometime in May. Some of you may fondly remember Paul from a presentation given in recent years. More information on date and specific topic to follow. There is much more in the works to continue with our eventful Chateauguay Valley Garden Club season. Stay posted for our May Newsletter which will provide remaining information for our 2024 season. Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday April 5th. P.S. If you know of fellow Club members who have not yet renewed their membership but are thinking about it, please tell them about Kevin’s presentation, as they will not be receiving this Newsletter if they are not active 2024 CVGC members. |
